National Poultry Day – March 19th, 2018

We don’t want to cry fowl, but did you know that Monday, March 19th, 2018 is National Poultry Day?! By poultry, we are referring to domestic birds that are raised for meat and eggs. This includes birds such as chicken, turkey, duck, goose, ostrich, quail, pheasant, guinea fowl, and peafowl.  The North Florida Livestock Agents Group (NFLAG) consists of 14 UF/IFAS Extension Agents from counties in North East Florida. The primary goals are to provide extension educational programming for livestock and forage producers which will increase profitability and sustainability.
