Biography

As the Executive Secretary to Dean for Extension Larry R. Arrington, Kim maintains the Dean's hectic calendar and keeps him organized. Kim arranges ad hoc meetings for Dr. Arrington and sets up travel arrangements for the Dean to attend conferences and out-of-area meetings. Kim is responsible for coordinating the twice-monthly IFAS Academic, Extension, and Research Deans' Meetings, which rotate coordination among the three IFAS Deans' secretaries.

Kim receives all correspondence for the Dean and assists with telephone communication for office and maintains the Dean's files. Kim composes and finalizes correspondence, reports, and other documents for distribution. She acts as conference coordinator/liaison to national agency industry representatives and to the office of the President, Senior Vice President, and others on behalf of the Dean. She coordinates the quarterly Extension Faculty Advisory Committee meetings and also provides support to the Plant Nutrient Oversight Committee and the Associate Deans as needed on behalf of the Dean.

Kim came to Extension Administration from the UF College of Medicine, where she worked for over thirteen years. Kim has been in the Extension Administration Department for over six years. She has lived in the Gainesville area with her family for many years.
