UF/IFAS Extension Symposium

Presentations from the Symposium

Keynote: Charlie Arnot - PowerPoint Presentation

Initiative Team 1: Danny Klinefelter - PowerPoint Presentation

April 17 - 19, 2017 in Gainesville, Florida

After a 10-year hiatus, we are very pleased to be able to bring back the UF/IFAS Extension Symposium in 2017. We have heard from many of you about how much you valued the Extension Symposiums held between 2005 and 2007. You noted that the greatest values were the opportunities for professional and personal development, plus team collaboration and networking. These features are all at the core of this year's symposium. The Extension Symposium is geared for anyone involved with UF/IFAS Extension... both state and county faculty plus unit leaders. We look forward to seeing you there as we aim to elevate UF/IFAS Extension to new heights!

Everyone planning to attend part or all of the Symposium MUST register in advance.

Travel

Because there is not a Registration Fee associated with the 2017 Extension Symposium, a Peoplesoft Travel Authorization (TA) is not required and is strongly discouraged. If you submit a TA, it will be denied.

Please retain all travel-related receipts so that you can attach them to your Expense Report (ER), after you return from your trip. Even if your Lodging is pre-paid using a UF Pcard, please attach your hotel receipt/folio to your ER. Upon returning, please use ChartField 60357000-103-3300-CYFWD to create your ER.

Hotel

The Hotel block is currently closed. Please email Val Shah for arrangements.

Please note that the hotel will be undergoing renovations to their lobby throughout our Symposium. Their main registration desk will be relocated in the conference center which will add some strain to our traffic and logistics. Stay tuned to this website for updates including maps to familiarize yourself with the venue and the changes that will impact the conference center.

Hotel Address: 1714 SW 34th Street, Gainesville, FL 32607. Hotel Phone: 352-384-3420

Program

Please note: the program is still preliminary and changes are still being made. The final version will be available with your name tag at registration
