Farm Credit Young Professional Award
Sponsored annually by Farm Credit of Florida recognizes early career Extension Agents who consistently develop and conduct outstanding programs. Nominees should be beginning to play an active role in the FACAA professional association.
Eligibility:
Any member of the Florida Association of County Agricultural Agents who served as an agent for no less than three (3) years and no more than five (5) years. Members May only receive this award once.
Nominators must check with their nominee that they have served as an agent for this length of time. The nominator may also check the member search of the NACAA website Member Search (nacaa.com), but realize the records are not entirely accurate. Nominators must verify eligibility before submitting their nominations.
Nomination:
Current FACAA members (county or state faculty). Individuals may not nominate themselves.
Nominees will be informed of their nomination by the FACAA New Member Relations Committee Chair. Each nominee must then complete the FACAA Young Professional Award Application Form, which includes program accomplishments, honors/recognition, and professional activity since employment with UF/IFAS Extension. Application forms must be returned via e-mail to the FACAA New Member Relations Committee Chair by the due date.
The application timeframe and the award recognition details are to be determined for 2025.

Funded by Farm Credit of Florida, the FACAA Young Professional Award recipient receives a plaque and a check for $100 for personal use. The recipient also receives $300 to use towards costs to attend the National Association of County Agriculture Agents Annual Conference. The recipient will pay for conference costs upfront, either through personal funds or UF P-card, and should notify the FACAA Treasurer to receive a reimbursement check of $300 to deposit in their personal account or Revenue Enhancement Account (182 fund) depending on the initial funding source. The $300 amount will be held in escrow for a period of not more than 2 years, after which time it will be transferred to the Educational Foundation Fund if not used and credited as a contribution to the Foundation will be given to the recipient.
