UF/IFAS Extension Symposium 2023

UF/IFAS Extension Symposium 2023

Message from the Dean

Dear UF/IFAS Extension Community and Colleagues:

We are excited to announce that we will convene in person for the 2023 UF/IFAS Extension Symposium.

The Symposium, which occurs biennially, serves as a multidisciplinary platform in which attendees can partake in professional development activities covering 4-H youth development, agriculture, community resource development, horticulture, family and consumer sciences, water and natural resources, and more!

This year’s plenary session includes a dynamic and insightful keynote speaker, departmental presentations and lightning rounds, and a collaborative session to network and learn. Also, throughout the week you will have the opportunity to participate in core competency and programmatic workshops.

Our aim is to elevate engagement within IFAS and across the University. This includes promoting Extension and raising awareness of resources, as well as interdepartmental collaboration to enhance relationships and to work toward shared goals.

I sincerely thank all the individuals who are a part of the Symposium-planning process, and who are leading the tremendous effort to create a great and successful Symposium experience.

Dr. Andra Johnson, Dean for Extension
