Team Collaboration Tool
Microsoft Teams is a robust communications tool that supports team collaboration and group communication. It creates a hub where multiple forms of communication are housed and easily accessed.
Microsoft Teams combines chat, meetings, files, collaboration and more into one centralized workspace. The workspace is accessible from your desktop or mobile device. Instead of going to several different places to contact colleagues and access files or past conversations, like email, Dropbox, websites, etc. you can manage multiple communication interactions in one place.
Transforming Teamwork in UF/IFAS Extension
If you are in a county office, a member of a work group, an action team or a program, Microsoft Teams can support you in working more efficiently and effectively. Teams may be people-based or project-based.
UF/IFAS IT is working to onboard UF/IFAS Extension offices through the statewide county system. IT staff will be meeting with individual county staff to orient them to the tool and assist them in getting started, with a goal of onboarding all counties by early 2020.
If you and you team would like to get working with Microsoft Teams now, please contact UF/IFAS IT at TeamsOnboarding@ifas.ufl.edu.
