Awards and Scholarships

To recognize Epsilon Sigma Phi members for outstanding professional achievements, ESP members can nominate a deserving member, colleague, or themselves in one of several categories.

You must be a member of ESP in good standing (all dues paid) for at least one year before you are eligible to apply for ESP awards. Dues must be received by December 31 in order to be eligible.

ESP Chapter Awards - Application Instructions

  1. Download the Application 
  2. All Alpha Delta ESP awards must be submitted by April 1. Most are submitted through the National ESP website (https://espnational.org/Recognition-Awards). Nominees who do not submit an online nomination form will not be considered for recognition.

    2. Follow the submission link at the bottom of the page to apply.
    3. The Chapter contact information is the current Member Services Chair's name and email address.
  3. Complete the application and make sure you hit “Submit
    1. The information is stored in a database on the national website.
    2. Copies are automatically emailed to you and the Member Services Chair.
    3. It is a good idea to print a copy of your submitted application to the National website and email it to our state awards chair!
  4. The Chapter Member Services committee will make the selection of the winners.
  5. Our Chapter submits applications for certain awards recognized at the state level (during EPAF) for National recognition the following spring, with national winners being recognized at the fall National ESP Conference. Recognition marked with an (*) has corresponding opportunities for recognition at the National level.

Outstanding Specialist Award

This award acknowledges the outstanding contributions of state Extension Specialists throughout the state that have given exceptional time and resources to support Extension Service educational programs for members within ESP. Outstanding Specialist Award

Chapter Scholarship Application for Professional Improvement

To financially assist Agents in pursuing a project, class, event, courses or conference that will benefit the applicant’s Extension programming. The scholarship funds in the amount of $400 will be dispersed at the completion of the class, conference, etc. If awarded a scholarship, you will be responsible for submitting a “Scholarship Report Form” with proof of expenditures. This form will be sent to scholarship winners. To be eligible for ESP – Alpha Delta Chapter ESP scholarships, you must be an active ESP member and must have contributed to the ESP High Five Campaign. 

JCEP Leadership Chapter Scholarship Application for Professional Development

To financially assist Agents wishing to attend the JCEP Leadership Conference. The scholarship funds in the amount of $400 will be dispersed at the completion of conference. If awarded a scholarship, you will be responsible for submitting a “Scholarship Report Form” with proof of expenditures. This form will be sent to scholarship winners.
